Liquid Exchange User Guide

How to create a FIO Address and FIO Request to make exchanging crypto on Liquid a lot easier.

Downloaded it today from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Getting Started with FIO

Reserving your FIO @Liquid address is a great way to simplify sending and receiving crypto. Using a memorable address (such as satoshi@liquid) avoids common mistakes, such as sending to the wrong wallet address or blockchain. And becoming prey to scammers.

We are delighted to support the Foundation for Inter-wallet Operability (FIO) protocol, in use by more than 35+ blockchain wallets and exchanges, to improve usability standards and make sending and receiving crypto a hassle free experience.

Firstly, register your FIO @Liquid address:

Step 1 - Sign-in to https://app.liquid.com and view your Deposits using the link found in the top right corner of the page.

Step 2 - Click Get Started on the FIO banner

Step 3 - Check if your preferred FIO address is available and click Register. Choose wisely!

Step 4 - You will receive confirmation that your FIO @Liquid address has been reserved.

You can quickly and easily send a FIO request to deposit crypto to your Liquid account:

Step 1 - Go to https://app.liquid.com/ and visit the Deposit page.

Step 2 - Next to your FIO @Liquid Address click Request.

Step 3 - Enter your @liquid FIO address in the field Send Request From.

Step 4 - Enter the FIO address of the person you are requesting funds from in the field FIO address to request payment from.

Step 5 - Enter the amount, and optional note, and click Send Request.

Step 6 - You will receive confirmation that your request has been sent.

Step 7 - Click Done to complete the deposit request.

How to link your FIO @Liquid address with existing token addresses

You can link the same FIO address with your existing token addresses. Follow these steps:

Step 1 - Go to https://app.liquid.com/ and click Deposits option at the top right corner of your screen.

Step 2 - Select the token you want to request. For example, choose ETH.

Step 3 - Scroll down to link your already created @liquid FIO address with ETH.

Step 4 - Liquid will process your pending request.

You can use your FIO address to withdraw crypto from a Liquid wallet. Follow these steps:

Step 1 - Go to https://app.liquid.com/ and navigate to Wallets > Withdrawals at the top right corner of your screen.

Step 2 - First things first, you need to whitelist your FIO Address. Then, select the token to withdraw from your Liquid wallet.

Step 3 - Toggle the slider Use FIO Address. The withdrawal request will use the wallet address associated with the specified FIO Address.

Step 4 - Enter the 2-factor authentication code from your Google Authenticator and then click the button to add your token address.

Step 5 - Select your relevant token address and enter the amount of tokens you want to withdraw to your Liquid wallet. Alternatively, you can also add the new token address.

Step 6 - Again, enter the withdrawal amount and the 2-factor authentication code from your Google Authenticator.

Step 7 - Click Confirm.
