Guarda Wallet is a non-custodial, multi-currency cryptocurrency wallet that lets users securely store, manage, and transfer a wide range of cryptocurrencies.
Downloaded it today from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
The Guarda mobile wallet allows you to set up a FIO handle. You can send, receive and request your favorite crypto using a FIO address with your Guarda wallet.
In this example we will first setup our FIO handle and then request a Bitcoin payment from a customer. We don't know their BTC address, we just know their FIO handle.
Lets start by opening our Guarda app and clicking the Wallets button on the bottom, lower left and then click on the Bitcoin wallet.
Here we see the Bitcoin address, click on the Request button.
You will be prompted to Create a FIO wallet, Click the "Create a FIO wallet" button.
You will be taken to a mobile friendly Registration page. Enter the name you would like to use for your FIO address. Here I've entered Brad and it shows that the address is available. My permanent FIO address will be "brad@guarda".
Click the green register button and then verify your not a robot by sliding the puzzle piece in place.
Click Next
Review your request and click the "Confirm" button.
Note: Because you are using FIO for this transaction you can see that both the sending and receiving Bitcoin addresses are populated for you!
Lets take a look at one example of what the person receiving the FIO request might see.
Here the person received the request and sees the memo "Invoice for food". They can safely send the payment to your FIO address.
Success! You are all done. Your request has been sent. Now sit back a wait for your crypto to arrive in you Guarda wallet.
